What Happens In Our School Each Week?

Morning Gathering

We gather as a school each morning to communicate events and activities to look forward to, and to celebrate the many successes of our school community. 



Little Joeys Barmera Community Playgroup (each Wednesday during school term). This is an opportunity for children to play, discover and explore and for parents to meet and socialise with other parents. 

Physical education 

School PE uniform is worn on Wednesdays for students to participate in PE lessons. 

School Ready Transition Program 

Getting ready for school is an important milestone in life and it requires a strong foundation to help children start their amazing journey of learning. 

St Joseph’s School Barmera offers a School Ready Transition Program on Wednesdays for students enrolled to start Reception both the January and Mid-Year intake. 


Occasional Care 

Little Joeys Barmera Occasional Care occurs each Thursday during the school term.

All families in the region are able to leave children aged between 3-5 years old from 8.50-11.30am. There is a small fee for this service. 


School Assembly Day

This is held 3 times a term; refer to weekly newsletter for dates and times. 


The St. Joseph’s School newsletter is distributed fortnightly on Fridays. 

PE uniform is worn.
