Facilities
The students and staff at St Joseph’s enjoy well-maintained and contemporary facilities, including:
- Hall: this is a multi-purpose gathering space, (named the O’Connor room) for the school and community.
- Art room: this is a space for art activities, combined with display area for children’s work, and an attractive meeting place for parents.
- Teacher preparation area: this is a resource room for Staff preparation, planning and research.
- Attractive classrooms: Each class room displays children’s work and aspects of their learning.
- Flexible learning spaces: 21st century learning takes place in many spaces, both in and outside the classroom, in small and large group settings.
- New library/resource area with new computers: this is an attractive and spacious learning area that has been made possible through Government funding.
- Computers and interactive whiteboards in each classroom: children have access to a pod of computers in each classroom.
- Covered outdoor learning area: This is a multi-purpose court that enables learning, fun and social activities to take place outdoors.
- Large oval and playground equipment : children have access to a large playing area that is grassed; they also have structured playground equipment in under cover areas.
- Parent gathering space: A multi-purpose learning area is shared by parents for informal gatherings such as coffee mornings
